Hi,

I am new to the game and new to this forum. It seems you are a happy lot and although sometimes political it looks like you enjoy a laugh. I play out of the East of Scotland (play being a poor word for what I do) but since my first stone I have loved the game, it is highly addictive and I hope to improve to the point where I wont need to apologise to you for my shots when playing against you.

Hi David, join in anytime, new ideas and the views of a new player would be most welcome. How did you get involved? What did you think of the introductory process to curling?

Hello there, I'm not an excellent player either, but that doesn't matter as it's more about having fun.

Also I play this game because I'm too slow to do anything else except maybe snooker or darts!!   Cheesy

Welcome!

Hi to all new players.

I am just back from Murrayfield Curling Centre tonight after watching an under 17's  Mixed Pairs Bonspiel. 28 teams and some fantastic talent on show.

What was great to see was 5 sheets of ice being used by brand new curlers, all tempted to give curling a go after seeing it on the olympics. That is 40 new players, and apparently they have 3 sessions all booked out. Brilliant stuff - and great kudos must go to Rhona Martin and Steve Cram for bigging it up.

How is everyone else doing?
