Now ~ This is closer to reality!

I gather that the English Forum has closed. There has been Zero Activity since the end of the Season.

I'm sure that no one will mind discussions that are relevant to Fentons.

In fact I think that it will open up the possibility of a Game when we go South. I know of several that work in London during the week, and return to God's Country for the weekend.

I think the administrators should set up an area for the English to discuss their stuff - as they have done for the icemen.

make them feel welcome

No Ghettos please.

Maybe we should become "The British Curling Forum" or "The UK Curling Forum"

I think that we should remain "The Scottish" but be inclusive.

We are the scottish curling forum and should welcome any members who wish to join.  We have international members already so will be good to have more members.  Sandy may have to get busy making wooden curling stones as the numbers may rise quickly as the new season starts though!

Many Curlers on this forum do not reside in Scotland - I hope that we can happily accommodate all Curlers.  Curling problems, which we seem to have in plenty, are international and some of them may already have been addressed elsewhere.

There was definitely this Notice, which said that it was closed and there was a link to here.

Glad to see them up and running again.

Dammit, my nose is itching again! I wonder what happened?

It appears that the original owner no longer wanted the site and also did not want the name to continue. So .co.uk is now .net and Grap will look after it for as long as he breathes. He will have my support, all he has to do is ask!

A small correction here, as Gordon says:

So rather than me not wanting the site, it was more a case of a joint venture ending.

I'll leave it there. But make no mistake, Gordon Bryan did a good deed when he started the ECF site and, for whatever reason his part came to an end, it remains a good deed. Thanks, Gordon, now let's see where it goes from here!
