I remember Jim Duff saying that as soon as the season had finished the curling hall was fully booked for weddings and other functions. The hotel made more money off these than curling.
Note the new management state that they have three function rooms. That says it all. Pity though -  had some good times there.

The August minuets of the RCCC are now on the website.

Wikipedia: A minuet, also spelled menuet, is a social dance of French origin.

Nice one!

Interesting that the file is called "minutes" but the head of the document indicates that it is "notes"

By the way, who was it that said that the RCCC do not read this forum??

Last night I had Bill Marshall tell me to start writing something sensible on here!

I might not get too involved with the politics or any of the other things which require at least a small amount of knowledge, but I'll take his suggestion up anyway.

Hope you suggested that Mr Marshall just comes on here and writes something sensible for himself, anonymous or not.

And, what on earth are you doing on a computer at 4.53am Shocked

My sleep pattern has been knocked right out recently - when I was Curling last night, that was practically the morning for me!!

Keep it in mind and ask him next time you see him, let us know what he says.
