Huh ~ Let me give you a small hint!

1. Sometimes served as "Brown Windsor Soup"

2. Lord Beeching reduced their Network.

Wee Eddie, You will need to be a bit more subtle than that for me, i'm afraid Faulty Towers and British Rail were before my time!  Smiley  Huh what about you Huh

I think the title on this thread is misleading, it implied that Vernon as an issue will be put to bed at some point

When the Conduct Panel reported I am sure I was not alone in hoping that the title of the thread was indeed coming true.

But the whole business has taken a much more serious turn and it seems it may have a long way yet to run. I am sorry I am unable to say more, under legal advice.

Without trying to put you in a position Bob, can you see this ending within the next 12 months from the current position.  Would it be worth a question from the floor at the AGM on the issue or is it likely to be met with a "no comment on legal advice"?

The whole thing continues to be a shambles.....   from the initial knee jerk reaction to have a pointless report to the wrong release of the conduct panels "findings"... or should that be "opinions". Set aside the cost issues it must have put an, at times,  intolerable strain on all those involved, players and coaches.

It seems quite obvious to me. Drag it out for another year with appeals, counter appeals and all the delays lawyers can think of, and the Olympics will be over. Job done, get the hell out.

Do I detect a slight change of heart?  Is this the same Jocklock who wrote, amongst other things! ..............................

Sack the management for wanting to change the line up?Huh

Yes you need the support of your subjects and in this case it would appear that the coaching staff DID have the support of the majority..... THE FORGOTTEN THREE.

Lets hear the facts before we start pointing.

Well now you have the facts I would love to know which direction are you pointing in now?

The invention of wireless internet has to be one of the best ever; sunshine, glass of wine and the laptop!  chin chin!

You are obviously not going to divulge which way you are pointing so I’ll trail the archives once more and try to provoke a response on another point you touched on.............................

Soon as you pull on the jersey you become 5 man team Scotland and it is then up to the coaching staff to get the best results possible from ALL the resources they have available to them. Like it or not.
The coaching staff are quite entitled to move the players around as they see fit. If you disagree then take issue with the rule makers at the appropriate time but NOT during a championship. You can disagree with the conditions of contract but thats the way it is until changed.

Having read the report and seen for yourself that the decision was taken by one person, the National Coach, would you still support your earlier comments that ‘it is up to them’ and it should be ‘as they see fit’?

Should there not have been agreement with all those involved, including all 5 players, before such a far reaching and disastrously impacting decision was allowed to be carried through.   It is all very well standing up for the system as it is at the moment so long as the one making the decision is willing to take responsibility for it, especially after a £30000 Independent Investigation finds you out!!

IMO the system doesn’t need changed the people paid to make the decisions do.

Fair point HHS...... regarding the wireless internet, and your quite right I'm not to be drawn further. Time to move on. Thats not to say I wouldn't be willing to argue the case some other day. I know this sounds like a cop out but 12 months, £30000, lawyers, recriminations, investigations and for your delictation ladies and gentlemen procrastinations. "The Good Old Days". What was that guys name.

Different I suppose if your directly involved.
