I also tried to see them this morning but also receved ' file not available'.

Do you have to log in. But it seems strange if the RCCC want to allow one member one vote and encourage access and interest in the sport and their admin.

Obviously a hiccup somewhere - I can't access them this morning  but I could last night and sent a link, which worked, to a few members of this Forum (ones I have email addies for).

I'll ask the office when they open.

Spoke to Suzy Wakefield in the office and it should be downloadable as a normal pdf file - they and Sportfocus are looking in to it.  If any of you are in a great hurry email Suzy and she'll send you the file directly.

Strangely, I had no problems at all downloading the link last night and also again this morning. There was no need to log in, so therefore no need to be a member to view it.

Was just reading the rccc minutes.... made me laugh.  Was anyone else wondering who the chap from organising committee of europeans at aberdeen was talking about when he said.... ".grateful to...Archibald C and Ecf for vacillation on that...".    Archibald C.... the grand old man of scottish curling. Maybe a proof read next year!

BIG article in Sunday Times yesterday -- main bit of paper - half a page!

It didnt exactly leave our sport cast in a good light - cackhanded would be a word that springs to mind.
I will leave opinion to others - but who said a line was drawn under the Vernon shenanigans !

Oh dearie dearie me..........

Thought I'd have a shuftie as curling starts next week and guess what - "last post" is Vernon. Thought it had died but seems far from it.

For those like me that have not seen it here is the Sunday Times article

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/scotland/article6815049.ece

Gail Munro must be serious - a Court of Session action is several £k's just to get on the pitch and costs will rack up astronomically if defended. Intp multiples of £10k before you can blink.

Not our problem you may say, but it might be - who is funding Derek Brown's defence, if he defends ? Gail Munro has obviously decided to invest in clearing her name - one assumes she must feel she has a chance of a case if she is risking the costs. If Brown defends who pays ?

I think we should be told who's underwriting any defence from Derek Brown - because if it's from RCCC coffers, the Vernon debacle so far will seem like a cheap burger van snack as compared to a night out at Fairley's at Gleneagles of it stays in the C of S for any longer than a nano-second !!

Can the RCCC board give an undertaking that it will not fund any defence ?

We tend to concentrate on the Board minuets but the current ASC minuets also make interesting reading - particularly after the media comments at the weekend!  If Vernon is done and dusted will DB have to pay his own legal costs?  I will be very angry if the RCCC members have to or are expected to contribute.  If anyone has a hotline to the RCCC hierarchy can they ask the question?  If not I will.

As far as I can work it out. DB was not, and is not, employed by the RCCC.

I think that his employers are Sport Scotland or some other inanely named group of Olympic liggers.
